A new certification experience for Partners
As part of our ongoing work to improve the Red Hat partner digital experience, we recently made improvements to the certification process.
We are now introducing a Product Centric Workflow.
This process will simplify managing your Products and the certification workflows related to them, by having a leaner and more comprehensive interface that revolves around the Partner Product.
What is going to change?
Product-focused interface
As the process is now centralized around the Product, the Product page will be the main and only interface to manage your Certifications. This process eliminates the extra back and forth steps between the Product and Project pages and confusion during the certification process.
We have added a Product Checklist, which will guide you on the next steps and requirements to get your Product published.
Product “Certification projects” are now called “Components”. This will clarify how they are related to the Partner Product.
Product Information
The Product Information form is now more comprehensive, by indicating the required and missing information with red exclamation points in the left column, as seen below:
This new interface also introduces the Product Score. The product score can be used to gauge the quality of the product information for the listing when published in the Ecosystem Catalog.
The different levels are:
- Not Ready to Publish
- Fair
- Good
- Excellent
- Best
The Product Score will help you to first understand the minimal requirements for your Product to be published, and then guide you on how to improve your score by adding useful information about your Product.
Components
The Components page lists all the related Certified Components for your Product.
When certifying a Component, all the steps required are now listed on the Component tab, guiding you on the remaining steps and information to provide.
Reskinned Images page
For the Container certification Components, we have worked on improving the user interface, so you can better manage your Container images. The new interface is pictured below:
We hope that all these improvements will contribute to an enhanced Certification Experience.
