The importance of a partner administrator

Your company's partnership with Red Hat is a powerful way to access the resources you need to grow and succeed. But to get the most out of it, you need a dedicated partner administrator. This key role ensures your team has seamless access to all the tools and resources available in the partner portal.

Think of the partner administrator as the gatekeeper for your company's partner portal access. Without one, your team might struggle to get the information and tools they need, manage new sales opportunities, or even add new members as your company expands.

What does a partner administrator do?

A partner administrator has full control over your company's partner portal activities and access. Their responsibilities include:

  • User management: The administrator can invite new users, manage permissions and roles, and deactivate accounts for employees who have left the company.
  • Company information: They're responsible for keeping your company's profile, contact information, and business details up to date.
  • Resource access: They can assign specific team members access to valuable resources like sales collateral, training modules, and marketing materials.
  • Compliance and reporting: They ensure your company meets the program's requirements and can access performance data and analytics.
  • Deal and lead management: They handle registering new deals and managing sales leads submitted by your team.

Is your partner administrator up-to-date?

If you have a partner administrator, now is a great time to review and confirm that the assigned person is still the right point of contact for your company. If you don’t have one, or if the role needs to be updated, it’s a crucial step to take to ensure your partnership thrives.

Don't have a partner administrator?

If your company doesn't have a designated administrator, you can get one set up easily. Simply follow these steps:

  1. Select an individual: Choose a reliable team member to be the administrator and manage your company's partner portal access.
  2. Submit the information: Send a support request with the subject line "Partner Admin User Access Request." Be sure to include the full name, email address, job title, and phone number of the designated administrator. You can also include their RHN ID (the username they selected when setting up the account), though this is optional.

Once the information is received, we'll create the account and send a confirmation email with login credentials and a getting started guide directly to the new administrator.

Taking this simple step will ensure your team can fully take advantage of all the benefits of our partnership.
