Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.6 is here, bringing exciting new features and strategic integrations designed to build a resilient and trusted foundation for IT operations. This latest evolution delivers enhancements that will help demonstrate value, streamline service delivery, and leverage the power of generative AI.

Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2.6 can help create new opportunities for sales and services.

  • Automation dashboard: The new automation dashboard helps monitor, measure, and report on the impact of automation, including ROI and time savings, allowing your customers to demonstrate tangible value.
  • Ansible Lightspeed intelligent assistant: Harnessing generative AI, this intelligent assistant delivers a more intuitive and efficient platform experience, providing on-demand support for faster troubleshooting, onboarding, and day-to-day management.
  • Self-service automation portal: The self-service automation portal simplifies service delivery and unlocks wider automation adoption, enabling platform administrators to easily scale automation to new users and teams.
  • Strategic integrations and new content: Benefit from new collections and integrations across critical domains including:
    • Networking: Arista, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Nautobot
    • Cloud: HashiCorp, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
    • Infrastructure: Windows Server, OpenShift Virtualization, VMWare
    • AIOps: Red Hat AI, Splunk
  • Flexible model connectivity for Ansible Lightspeed: Starting in Q4 (November), customers and system integrators can connect to third-party model providers like Microsoft Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, and IBM watsonx.ai, allowing for more tailored AI solutions.
  • Automation of AI infrastructure deployment: New validated and certified collections (infra.ai and redhat.ai) help provision RHEL AI infrastructure and configure/serve AI models using InstructLab.
  • On-premise deployment for Ansible Lightspeed: From November 2025, customers will have the option to deploy Ansible Lightspeed on-premise (VM or bare metal) using the AAP containerized installer, catering to security and compliance needs.
  • Create your own certified content for Event-Driven Ansible: For ISVs, this isn't just about deployment; it's about shipping pre-packaged, self-healing intelligence with your product. This specific content—the rules and remediation playbooks you design—allows the customer environment to automatically fix itself when problems arise. This proactive capability creates a profoundly reliable experience, making your software an indispensable and trusted part of a customer's operations.
