Workload on OpenShift - Technical Workshop vILT
Over the next 6 hours, we will dive into what makes OpenShift a powerful, modern application development platform, moving beyond the traditional view of containers and virtual machines. This intensive session is designed for technical sales, pre-sales, and consultants to sharpen your skills, build confidence in identifying new opportunities, and effectively communicate the business value of a modern Software Factory.
Agenda
This workshop includes the following key aspects:
- Shifting Perception: The training aims to redefine OpenShift's image, moving beyond its traditional view as merely a platform for managing virtual machines and containers to a highly capable environment for modern application development and deployment.
- Driving Revenue: By highlighting integrated tools—such as Podman Desktop and AI code assistance—the initiative seeks to increase OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) revenue, reduce "DIY sprawl," and create opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell supplementary products.
- Empowering Teams: The workshop serves as an enablement tool for Tech Sales, PreSales, and consultants, building their confidence to identify and qualify opportunities and communicate OpenShift’s business value.
- Continuous Learning: Rather than being a certification shortcut, the course acts as a catalyst to motivate participants to pursue deeper knowledge and register for advanced certifications in GitOps and DevSecOps.
Outcome
- Identify and qualify opportunities for OpenShift Container Platform as an Application development environment.
- Position the business and technical value of OCP.
- Handle technical or business competitive situations as appropriate.
- Perform an upfront Technical Discovery.
- Communicate technical value.
Finally, participants will learn more about further training opportunities to close knowledge gaps to provide end to end services concerning Application Modernization and Application Development.
